| Hello: I am new to the show dog arena and am the proud owner of a keeshond puppy. I bought my first brush (27mm) 2 weeks ago and my puppy (Jimmy) loves it! I've used the White on White, Day to Day and Ice on Ice for my Maltese and her coat truly has never looked better. Before it was dry and brittle. One day I picked her up from the groomer and she looked like a giant powder puff - lots of static and flyaway hair. Although her tearing is down to a minimum now, she still has some staining from previous tearing. It is actually disappearing! Her coat is a beautiful whie, and it is very silky and beautiful. When you have introduced your AFTER BATH I was asking if it is also recommended for long haired dogs. Now, after using it since more than one year I can let you know that this product is the best ever used for my six long haired Shih Tzu. I just wanted to say thanks for the Day To Day System Kit. I got a free one with the purchase of a slicker brush at the Portland show, after I explained to Chris that it was a replacement for one that had been stolen. I have frequently been not satisfied with different company's shampoos either because of softening coats or lack of cleaning at diluted strengths. I have always loved and used the CCS brushes, and recommend them to anyone. I however have not used any of CCS shampoos or grooming products in the past (besides the brushes). I bathed my specials bitch today with the kit for the first time, and I was really pleasantly surprised! Not only did it not soften her coat, but it produced a shine down to the root, as well as producing a lot of body, and a really nice smell to her coat. I will continue to use the products for my own show dogs as well as in my grooming shop. Talked with a helpful person there and it was suggested to try the 16mm T-Brush with the wavy handle for my 2 Schipperkes, had previously used a rake which had to use very carefully so as not to pull their hair. I just tried White on White and am Pleased on Pleased. I live in the foothills of North Carolina where red clay is everywhere. It turns white legs and roughs bright orange and can stain badly if left. I love the fact that the White On White restores the white to brilliance, but does not harm the colored coat. I'm Sold! I have a story that might give you two reasons to smile - one, for my mistake, and two, for how White On White performed a miracle that saved me some REAL embarrassment! Tales of Pink Poodles abounded when I was a little girl. I don't have a poodle, but I do have a black tri-colored Australian Shepherd. And St. Patrick's Day was coming. (I bet you can see where this is going - but wait!) I was using another manufacturer's conditioner for my dog's coat, but was not sure I was getting the coverage I'd hoped for - so I decided to add some laundry blue to his diluted conditioner, to see exactly where to conditioner was going when I put it on his coat after a bath. BIG MISTAKE! Within seconds, I had a different kind of tri-colored Aussie; Black, Copper and BLUE! AAARGH! My husband thought it was funny, but I was horrified. I got out my super degreasing shampoo, but that didn't work - and now, I had another color disaster - you guessed it, Black, Copper and GREEN! At first my husband suggested we leave my dog this way till St. Patrick's Day was over. After all, we'd seen other pets be intentionally green for the holiday..... While my poor Aussie sat bedraggled and oddly colored in our mop sink, I remembered that White on White deposits pigments to block other colors from arring an otherwise snow white coat. I lathered up the greenest parts first, and then the rest of his coat - and waited with crossed fingers. After the suggested 10 minutes, I rinsed him off and YIPPEE!!! My dog was a beautiful Black, Copper and Snow White Aussie again! Needless to say, I'll never repeat the conditioner coverage experiment. I have 10 Pekingese dogs and show and breed on a limited basis. I was reluctant to purchase your brush the first time because of the price. I am so happy I did!!! Its is spectacular. I can't say enough good things about it. It's the best brush I have ever used and goes right through the thickest coats. I had previously used All Systems and several other pin brushes. The pins would push in after a short time and even worse, the whole rubber base would come out. It was very frustrating and your "expensive" brush has saved ma a fortune! I told him about Baron's coat, and that I was thinking about adding a C.C.S Slicker because I was so happy with the pin brush I ordered. Chris suggested that I try the 16mm T-Brush. I'm pleased to tell you all that after a week of using it I LOVE IT! This brush is great - it acts like a combination of a slicker and pin brush to remove the dead hair easily and with little effort on my part. It works great on Baron's plush coat, and also can be used on Grafin's smooth (but double) Rottie coat. These brushes are expensive ( my husband has no idea HOW expensive they are! But, IMO they're worth every penny! My girlfriend in Michigan who also has a bitch special told me about this new product and while I was at one of the dog shows a few weeks ago I picked up a bottle from Cherrybrook. My dog at the moment is totally out of coat. I blew dried the last of the undercoat right out before we went to the shows this weekend. After using the conditioner he looked gorgeous, but the test was to see what he looked like in the morning as a dog with no undercoat usually looks like an unmade bed the next day. WOW was I amazed! My special looked great and I had compliments on his coat while at the shows. We had three days of shows with huge entries because of a supported entry on Sunday and my special won all three days with competition. Jhonen has always hated to be brushed and I have tried every type in an effort to find one that he'd tolerate. We own many different slickers, pin brushes, natural bristle, rubber tooth, and combs too numerous to count... and he hates all of them. I brush him everyday and it ahs always been a struggle. I read about the Chris Christensen brushes and decided to try them. They were very expensive ($25.00). but I was desperate... I opened the box and laughed as Jhonen literally danced around the floor on his hind legs.. he knew the package held some wonderful surprise for him. That goes to show how spoiled this dog is! LOL! I ordered two "pin" brushes, a mini 20mm and a 27mm. We sat on the couch and I first gently brushed his back... NO response, squirming or bolting away... I brushed his head and mustache... same thing! Not only did he sit quietly for the brushing, he rolled over for me to do his stomach. I still can't believe it...! I don't know what is is about these brushes that make them so different from all the others we've tried. I read that the pins are specially polished to be "non-scratching". Anyway, he actually enjoyed the brushing... except for his legs... still a struggle brushing those. I don't know if the company has a "satisfaction guaranteed" policy, but for those with bichons resistant to brushing, they might be worth a try. I use your pin brush to thoroughly brush out the coat and around the lead. I used to think that I had all the hair standing out like it should,until I used your comb I didn't realize that I hadn't even come close! This comb with the wider distance between the teeth allows you to finish the job so that each hair stands up and gives the appearance that you have twice as much coat as before without pulling any coat out. I use the wider end to bring all the hair that gets trapped under the lead up so that it stands off and gives a nice full look around the ruff and I use the narrow end to brush the hair around the face up so the face is full. It was given to me by a substitute teacher. She occasionally subs at Austin High School where I am a teacher aide there. I was bitten by a spider on my left arm about 3 weeks ago. I went to the doctor and he gave me antibiotics and penicillin. The antibiotics gave me severe nausea and diarrhea. I only took them for 4 days and then stopped. Well, I did not feel I was healing properly; the doctor had to lance the spider bite; he then told me to put Neosporin and to cover it. It was continuing to hurt and the area was red. Just this past Friday, Sept, 26, 2003 Ms. Cohen, the teacher that gave me a the "Peace and Kindness", I noticed that after about an hour of spraying the area, it was actually SHRINKING!!! I was so STUNNED and AMAZED at the results. She practically guaranteed me that I would start feeling better and that I would see amazing results. I still had some doubts that it would shrink as dramatically as it has. It is now Monday, September 29, about 5p.m. and the wound is 3/4 cleared up, with no redness, and I can see a scab forming now.
