Hold muzzle to prevent dog from licking during application. 

On a clean dry nose, apply Step #1 with a cotton swab (do not over saturate swab), allow to dry.

Then apply Step #2 with another cotton swab. 

Nose will turn black instantly and could last up to 24 hours depending on dogs licking behavior and body chemistry.
